Product Categories enable you to group products with similar characteristics, pricing structures, accounting rules and reporting. All products in that category inherit the revised discount structure.

A 'Product' in the AIVA 9001 system is something that can be sold and/or purchased, (or something that can be stored) and it has to have a Price.      A Product can also be described as a "collection of Assets with similar attributes." Define production (make) items, purchase (buy) items, or noninventory items such as labor or travel.Maintain default information such as purchasing supplier, purchasing and selling unit of measure, and tax status for an item. The software currently supports FIFO method.You can define the minimum order quantity, andaverage lead time for every supplier.
